Cycling organisations


The Union Cyclistes International is the overall controlling body for cycle sport worldwide, and rules for national organisation generally comply with UCI regulations.

  
British Cycling  is the cycle sport governing body for the United Kingdom and covers most sporting activities in particular road racing in addition to off-road and track racing for a fuller picture see their website.


The Road Time Trials Council regulates time trialling on public roads in the UK, BMCC is affiliated to the RTTC so that members may take part in time trialling.



The Cyclists Touring Club is Britains largest cycling organisation founded in 1878 to promote recreational and utility cycling.


Audax UK promotes non-competitive fast touring events or randonneurs.

The League of Veteran Racing Cyclists is specifically for the over 40's who wish to race in their own road and time trialling events.

  
The British Cyclo-Cross Association, for the winter activity of cyclo-cross racing an exciting off-road event.

 

The British Triathlon Association website contains a vast amount of useful information.

  
Sustrans are a charity set up to create the National Cycle Network which will eventually create a complete network of cycleways amounting to over 5,000 route miles .
