Interested in Cycling in North Oxfordshire?

Bicester Millennium Cycling Club was formed in 1999 in time, as it's name suggests, for the new Millennium. The Club's current membership is an eclectic mix of sporting and leisure cyclist, "roadies" and "off roaders", across a range of ages and experience. The Club provides a focal point for cycling enthusiasts from Bicester, a rapidly growing town, and the surrounding areas of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.

There is a Club road bike run every Sunday morning throughout the year at 09:00 hours (10:00 hours in December, January and February) starting from Bicester North Railway Station. There are also regular Sunday morning off road rides, normally on the first and third Sundays of a month, meeting at 10:00 hours in a village near Bicester. See the Club Runs page for current information on both road and off road rides.

Bicester Millennium CC promotes a number of Open and Club time trial events during the summer months, with many of these taking place on the perimeter track at RAF Weston on the Green. The perimeter track provides a safe, virtually traffic free environment which has allowed the Club, in recent years, to promote, amongst other events, a very successful and popular four-up team time trial and the London West District GHS Championship.

Come and Join Us!

If you're thinking of joining our club, you are welcome to turn up and join one of the club runs, or come along to a social evening. For more details see the newsletter and club runs list. Please note that the club caters mainly for those cyclists who have a serious interest in cycling. However, adult novices, of whatever age or fitness level, can be catered for and would be welcomed.

Road runs require a suitable road bike either racing or touring/audax style, mountain bike runs can be ridden on any suitable mountain bike but please note these runs can get very muddy! Click here for the current list of Club runs

Riders should be suitably equipped for the type of riding they are interested in, although helmets are not compulsory they should be worn for your own safety, and in the case of off-road riding are essential. Participation is at your own risk.  If you need further advice please contact a club representative (see the contacts page)
